I experimented with the executeionTimeout for my web-application. I tried to enforce the following error: "System.Web.HttpException: Request timed out". I used a function, that takes about 60 seconds for execution and set the executtionTimeout to 5 seconds, but i did not get the expected error. The page worked completely normal. I'm using a Windows-Server 2003.

The dataadapter may fill more than one dataset to build the resulting dataset. This can take several minutes (I think up to approximately 10 minutes) before a result set is ready. The result set is displayed in a datagrid. It works ok in VS.NET but when the project is deployed, the time consuming queries...

When I call a webservice on IIS on Windows 2000 Server with .NET runtime 2.0, I get the following Error. System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out From ASPX Pages, I call the web service, which in turn calls dlls for executing the sotred procedure. SP runs for about 10 mins. (It has to; because the application demands running such big SP in synchronous mode). I have set the execution timeout to 1 hour both in website (for ASPX)...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
