Hi... is it possible to send data from a socket to at physical address (MAC)
on f.x another PC or Router ???
I have a IP header with information about another client, and this cannot be
altered, so I want to send the whole IP package to the server / router using
OSI layer 2 (datalink), but is it possible in C#, or do i have to write a
lowlevel driver.
Thanks

I have an application where I send an XML dataset to a web service to be
rendered as an html page. This complete html page is returned as a string by
the web service.
How can I then pass this string to the client browser to be displayed?
I have had a look at Response.Write, however this does not create a new
page, rather writes into the html from existing aspx page's postback.
I could save the returned html as a file and then...

Hi,
I'm trying to send a file to the browser with Response.Write, and it
works great.
The problem (I guess...) is that the code that sends the file is in a
class, and whan I load aspx file using the downloading method, I have
the request for file saving in my browser (and I can save the file), but
the aspx's content isn't loaded...

Hi,
I receive an access denied error (see below) when attempting to send an
email with BodyFormat=MailFormat.Html from an asp.net page. Exactly the same
code works fine in a console application, and also succeeds from the asp.net
page with BodyFormat=MailFormat.Text.
I've recently upgraded from W2K SP4 to WinXP SP2 and am using .Net Framework
v1.1 SP1. The code worked fine under W2K SP4.

I have a situation where I want to send data, but I have no need for a
response. It seems to me that XMLHTTPRequest is the best way to send the
data, but I don't need any response back from the server.
Basically, I'm writing js errors to an error log on the server side -
and there is no need to inform the user that the error has been logged.
The problem is that I don't want to sit with the request open & waiting
for a response, when I...

I am still working with no success on that client/server
problem. I need your help. I will submit simplified versions
of my problem so we can see clearly what is going on.
My model:
A client uses IE to talk with a server.
The user on the client (IE) sees an ASP net page containing
a TextBox. He can write some text in this text box and
push a submit button.

Hi all,
I've written a login/logout code. It does what it's supposed to do but
the problem is when I logout and press browser's back button (in
Firefox), I get to the last login page. In IE, when I press back
button, I get to the page that says "Page has Expired" but Firefox does
not do this.
I think it's something to do with sessions not properly unset or
something like that but I haven't been able to figure it out. I am

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
