This post, which is related to your last post, can be dealt with by including the namespaces in the config file. HTH.

Hello. I am reading the book written by Bjarne Stroustrup called " The C++ Programming Language - Special Edition" and had a doubt which a think is really important to distinguish between the main features of modules, namespaces, and User-Defined types. The text above was copied from page 31. --------------------------------------------------------

I have created a User Control (a Pareto Chart) using C#. It works great in .Net Windows Apps, but I also need to use it in a Web Application (to view in IE). Everything I read on this seems to be talking about Web Controls (although the terms "Web Control" and "User Control" seem to be used interchangeably). Can I use this Control in IE even though its not a Web Control? Whats the alternative? The Control project is fairly extensive, using...

Hello I'm asking is it possible that two or more Web User Control have same file (.ascx) name within same project? Namespace is different. I got error message: "CS1595: 'ASP.EditForm_ascx' is defined in multiple places;" I know that I have two controls EditForm, in different namespaces, but with same file name: "EditForm_ascx" If it is of any importance, I use both user controls on same page.

We have a number of development machines in our IT department, all running the same version of VS 2005 sp 1. Our company website and several compiled components were all written in VB.Net 2.0 using one of those machines, our "main dev." When I pull up the website in the VS IDE on that one machine, everything is fine. On any of the other machines, however, opening the website opens the site, then fills the Error List with just over a...

I've been reading the namespace specification for the 5.3 relaese, and I can't stop thinking that they have complicated the thing unecessary. Here is what I mean. So far if you call a function or a class in (which is not global ) using this: ::A::foo(); it will first try to run the function foo() from the namespace A , and

I am new to C#, and created a simple Windows application in C#, just to test the logic needed. This was a simple log-in which contained a single namespace. Namespace included a class (in its own .cs file) containing regular expressions to validate the format of the entries (user id and password). The reason I put the reg. expressions code in a separate class was this was a "dry run" for functionality needed for a more complex web...

Stefan Ram wrote (in "More than one language in a page"): Is this a new trend of user-agent writers (Microformats, and now Google) staking claims on the @class namespace? I'm surely not the only one disturbed by this. Somehow, an author publishing on the web, with no control over which user agents will access his page, has to avoid clashes with the union of all names deemed special by all those user agents, now and in the future? I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
