Hello,
I am trying to read and write to an Excel file via my Java applet. I
have done so successfully on several simple Excel files that simply
had data cells without many complicated equations or any other Excel
extras. However, now is the time to get the complicated ones to work.
I didn't think that there would be a difference, but there is. At
first, I was beginning to think that it was a file size problem, but
now I am unsure. ...

Hello:
Thanks for your quick response.
I'm trying to import a new Excel file into an A2K table and it's
truncating the data. One of the Excel columns is a text field that can
be up to 2000 characters. When I import it into A2K, that field is
truncated. If I try to inport the file into an EXISTING table that I
define myself where that field is a MEMO field, the import crashes.

I get python crashes and (in better cases) strange Python exceptions when (in most cases) importing and using cookielib lazy on demand in a thread.
It is mainly with cookielib, but remember the problem also with other imports (e.g. urllib2 etc.).
And again very often in all these cases where I get weired Python exceptions, the problem is around re-functions - usually during re.compile calls during import (see some of the exceptions below). But...

I have a database that one of the fields is a check box. Basically a
check means yes, no check means no. I am trying to import data from an
Excel spreadsheet. I assumed the check box would use a simple yes/no,
so I set up the Excel SS that way. It will not import the data for
that field. The rest of the fields import fine. How do I do this
please?

I *did* have Excel 2003 on my office PC and was fiddling with a little VB
Express app that interacted with Excel - nothing complex, but it worked.
Since then IT has upgraded me to Office 2007 and the only thing I can import
is Microsoft.Office.Core, nothing with the Excel object at all. My earlier
code throws off errors whenever Excel is referenced.
Is this Microsoft's way of telling me that I can't access Excel 2007 from VB
Express,...

i am using a php script to generate excel xml. everything works fine as long as the datatype is "String", but nothing quite works right when i switch the datatype to "DateTime". the best i can get is to show a decimal value in the fields i have set to "DateTime", not the standard user-friendly excel display (eg "10:39:00"). i also am trying to write simple formulas to subtract time but have not had any success. the exported excel is useless...

Hello everyone,
I am trying to import a Microsoft Excel 2007 formatted file into my application. I found on another thread in another forum that I needed to install the 2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components found here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=7554f536-8c28-4598-9b72-ef94e038c891
So I did, and I am still recieving an error message when the application tries to open the...

I have a VB6 application that has an OLE container with an embedded Excel
chart. Our office updated to Excel 2007 and now although the app works the
charts looks like crap. Since the app is fairly large my goal is to keep the
devlopement in VB6 but am open to any ideas or suggestions. What i want to
do is:
1. Keep my app in VB6 and find a workaround for the crappy looking charts.
the charts now look very blocky and the grid lines and...

Hi,
Our company recently transitioned to Office 2007 and one of my macros crashes Excel 2007 - gives "Excel encountered a serious error and needs to close" always at the same spot of the code. I combed the web to see if there are grave differences between VBA in 2003 and 2007 and found nothing...this is the code. I would appreciate any suggestions!

Sub Revenue_Format()

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
