I have a dropdownlist in a GridView ItemTemplate. I need to bind the ddl to
an SqlDataSource, then have a value from a boundfield in the row be passed as
the keyfield for select where clause. Im trying to load the ddl with a list
of dates from another table keyed on GridView row field that only apply to
this row.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a BoundField being populuated with the "MyDate" column.
The MyDate is in a strongly typed DataSet. The values of course come from
the DataBase.
I have a few values in the Database that have NULL as the value for MyDate.
Its not ideal, but I don't have control of this one.

My GridView is bound in VB code to a DataTable. The RowUpdating event fires
when the row's Update linkbutton is clicked and the row contains the old,
pre-edited values (as is expected.)
However, the RowUpdated event never fires. The debugger shows the
Page_PreRender event fires immediately after the RowUpdating event fires.
I tried calling the GridView's UpdateRow method from the RowCommand event
and looking at the values afterward...

The controls (textboxes) in the gridview row being updated have the old, pre
user updated values in the RowUpdating event. Does anyone have an idea why?

In the code below the first line works to read data from the gridview control
but the second line the ltest label is null. The very first column of the
grid is a bound data item that I converted to a template column. This column
has a label called lblDiscID which gets populated on the gridview control
correctly. Thanks.

Hello,
I have a Gridview control (.net 2.0) that I'm having trouble getting the
Update button to fire any kind of event or preforming the update. The
datatable is based on a join so I don't know if that's what's causing the
behavior or not. It seems like the Update button should at least do
something.
When the Edit button is clicked, the grid goes into Edit mode and the Cancel
button takes the grid out of Edit mode. So, I don't get what...

In a Gridview control, I have several BoundFields, and also a couple of
TemplateFields.
In the Rowupdating event, I try to retrieve one of the BoundFields (i.e. 4th
column of the Gridview control) for comparision purpose. However; I got
null string everytime. On the other hand, I'm able to retrieve the
dropdownbox value in the TemplateField. I would like to know what I did
wrong with the BoundField. Thanks.
