WSE 3.0 Interoperabilit y with client platform and technologies

Hi

I am preparing to use VS2005 and WSE 3.0 create a Web Service that is
fully platform independent, from MSDN it seems WSE3.0's
"Interoperabili ty is not guaranteed with protocols such as TCP", any
ideas what may be interoperabilit y problem?
Also my main concern is that whether or not a http web service
developed by VS 2005 and WSE 3.0 hosted on IIS can be real platform
independent?

Any comments suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am developing a new application running on Windows platform that needs to interface with existing legacy code - written in basic C / C++. I am trying to evaluate Java vs C# implementations. Originally, I have the impression that C# should be a clear winner. I started with Java and using the guideline from the book "Java Native Interface". Though complex, the book provide details of the practical implementation and potential...

I posted for help on legacy code interface 2 days ago. Probably I didn't make it clear in my original mail. I got a couple of answers but none of them address my issues directly (See attached response). My first reply directed me to source code migration but I didn't have the source code. The second reply mentioned about .NET interoperability (PInvoke I think) but I MENTIONED THAT I COULDN'T FIND ANY DOCUMENTATION FROM MSDN LIBRARY BASED ON...

Hi all, I have been trying to find a way to send a PDF from my web service. I have had the idea of sending back a byte array, but to be honest the efficiency issue is there and i would like to find another route if possible. I have started to read bits and pieces about DIME and WSE but what i need to know is can i utilise this technology cross platform?? For instance someone who will consume this web service is coding in some form of...

Hi, I have written a Web Service for a customer which expects a SOAP message with Document/Literal encoding, and uses RoutingStyle=SoapServiceRoutingStyle.RequestElement to route the SOAP body message to my Web Method. The Web Method expects a string as its parameter and then feeds that string to an XML deserializer which maps the XML elements contained within the string to my custom objects, then performs an insert/update on an SQL...

Hi all, I've been writing Javascript for quite a while now and have, of late, been writing quite a lot of AJAX and AJAX-related code. In the main, my dynamically generated pages are created using Perl on the backend, with Javascript providing limited frontend functionality. As an example, an expanding tree would be fully populated on the server-side and then presented to the browser, with Javascript and CSS being used to vary the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
