Hi,
I have read the thread named "Could not copy temporary files to the
output directory" on this newsgroup. And I have the same symptoms on
my machine. But I didn't find any solution suitable for me. (I don't
use ASP.NET or any web service at all, only windows forms).

I use VS.Net 2003 on Win XP Pro SP2. I created an ASP.Net app on local IIS.
Now I just wanted to "Copy Project" to remote server, but I get this error:
"An error occured while copying the project
'http://localhost/MyApp/MyApp.csproj'. The web sever reported the following
error when attemptimg to create or open the web project located at the
following URL: 'http://www.mysite.com'. 'HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Sever Error'

I have a visual studio 2008 solution(win forms)
I have a Deployment project with it to install the software
I upgrade the version number on the deployment project and build it
When I run this on the destination machines everything appears to work
fine (no errors).
However when the application is opened on the deployment machines it
has not upgraded.
We have to manually uninstall teh application first then run the

I'm running XP Pro/SP2 + patches and updates, with Visual Studio
Professional 2008 (and no prior installation of Visual Studio ever
installed).
When attempting to open an ASP.NET Web application project, Visual Studio
shuts down immediately and with no error message. I can open Visual Studio -
but when subsequently attempting to open the project, Visual Studio
immediately shuts down.

i'm developing an asp.net project and use the debug mode. i have a xml
file which contains data, that shall be read, if a specific page is
run. when i build the project the file is correctly copied to the
build location (i selected "build action: none" and "copy if newer").
but when the project is run, the xml file is missing at the directory
