I've just upgraded to VS.NET 2005 and SQL Server Express 2005.
I converted my 2003 project into 2005.
Now, when I try to run it, I get the error message:
A first chance exception of type 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException'

Hi
I installed .NET 2005 express edition, and am about to unnistall it again
because it can't seem to be able to even insert a resource file into a
project. Can anyone tell me is this right? Should it be able to?
I know it's express edition, and therefore limited functionality, but surely
resources are quite fundamental?
Also, once it's downloaded, is there any way of getting access to the fully
downloaded file incase you want to...

Hi all, would appreciate help with some trouble I'm having after using the
Visual C++ 2005 Express Conversion Wizard on my Visual C++ .NET 2003
project.
The wizard completed successfully with only warnings about using a "fully
qualified name with the use of the address-of operator (e.g.
&ClassName::MemberFunctionName)". I added the & operator as needed and
eliminated the compile errors relating to those warnings.

I spent way too much time on this and I must say, I was a little
disgruntled with what has been posted on all the various Xalan C
mailing lists. Everyone says there's a solution, but give next to no
detail on how to achieve this "allusive" solution. Well I spent the

Visual C#.NET 2005 express has some issues, unlike VB.NET 2005 has
none of them:
The most annoying one is:
For example if there's a coding error, it must be reported at the
buttom of the screen in "error list" "REAL-TIME". At least, that was
like that in VB.NET 2005 express. But in Visual C# .NET 2005 you won't
be able to aware of coding errors till you press "play" build & run
button.

Hello all,
Just wanted to get some clarification on something. I was setting

to create a login page for people to login and then be able to access
certain aspects of the website. Instead of doing what I usually do
which is store the username password in a db table then compare what
the user enters from the text boxes to what's in the db, I thought I
