Platform: Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 Server
UDB DB2 v8.1.11
I have the task of Migration my DB server from a 32Bit HW to a 64Bit HW.
The DB2 software is installed on the local disks but the data files and logs for the DB are on a SAN.
What I think is the correct procedure is to take an off-line backup from my 32bit server, install the DB2 software on the 64Bit server and do a restore.
(Note: I am not changing the version of DB it...

Hi.
I have a Dell Server with Windows 2003 R2 SP2 64bit ,SQL Server 2005 SP2
(also 64Bit) and 12GB Ram. The Problem is, that the SQL Server Process only
allocates max 90-100MB. That's why big SQLs run very slow.
I checked the setup variables on the managment console and everything seems
to be ok. I don't know how to solve this problem.
Please help!

I'm about to get a new laptop to be used primarily for Microsoft
development.
- Windows Vista
- Visual Studio Team System 2008 (maybe 2005 as well)
- SQL Server 2008 Developer (maybe 2005 as well)
- Infragistics, other 3rd party
So, should I install 64-bit versions of all apps? Think I might run into a
snag somewhere and regret it (i.e. stick to 32-bit)?

Hello guys
i have a developed a C# desktop application in MS visual c# express edition 2008 and SQL express 2005. I have done development on a 32 bit system and published the work to a web server, from where the users can install application to the system.
I want to make this work in 64bit system also. Is there any additional work that I should do in the current software for working in 64 bit environment?
Thanks and regards

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
