Hi...
I'm using session_set_save_handler() and have defined some functions to
store session data in a database. It all works marvellously. Except for one
small thing. If I do something like:
...
if(isset($_SESSION))

Hi all,
I am trying to store data in a $_SESSION variable (an array), but it reverts to
empty every time my page is refreshed (due to a submit button click).
I read the answer to the post "$_SESSION comes empty on next page" dated
2/4, whaich seems to be my problem. But the suggestions do not help me at all

1-have you set session.save_path ?

My application (relevant code snippets below) originally used Session
variables in order to maintain state from page to page. After being
unable to solve the mystery of why those variables were intermittently
inaccessible, (all Session variables gone, not using InProc Session
state mode), I moved to a cookies-based solution. Now I have cookie
contents that are intermittently inaccessible. Someone suggested using
session variables to...

Hi,
This isn't a mission critical question but I thought I'dl throw it out there
for your feedback as it's a bit curious.
I have developed a shopping cart for an application I'm working on which is
loosely based on the e-commerce example in the quickstarts tutorial.
In the cart display I have provided functionality so that when a user clicks
on a product name a popup is opened with the full product details displayed.

Hello
I'm running two Webservers Using ASP.NET. both are running the same ASP.NET
Application, with
<sessionState mode="SQLServer" stateConnectionString="tcpip=127.0.0.1:42424"
sqlConnectionString="data source=myserver;user id=myuser;password=mypw"

This seems to work. But we have cases, when users report that they loose the

I'm noticing this since I started developing a website project: my session variables are getting empty!
I did a real easy test, and I checked my session variable is getting empty!! What is happening?
For example (VS2005, IE6/7, running in filesystem):
- In the Page_load of page1.aspx:
Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load
Throw New Exception("Error is thrown")
End Sub

Hi,
Every two seconds, the client callback starts sending a value to the server
(via javascript). That value can be empty or not. The session variable
"flag" gets the value "1" if the value is not empty (eventArgument length >
0).
My problem is: once session("flag")="1" , i want to keep that value till the
user leaves the page, even if the next value sent is empty.. But with this
code, the value "1" of session("flag) remains only till...

Hi,
I have a website running in IIS7 and it seems to be creating a new session for every request I make. The values I store in Session are lost with every request.
This is the forms bit in my web.config:
<authentication mode="Forms">
<forms name=".ReMaCRM" loginUrl="~/Login.aspx" defaultUrl="~/Default.aspx" cookieless="AutoDetect" domain="" timeout="10" protection="All" />
</authentication>

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
