I have been using Visual Studio 2005 for quite some time. Though I know that if you create an app, you can write click and say Create unit tests. But I cant see this option on my copy of Visual Studio 2005.

Please help as this is very urgent!

Thanks. I think this is what is missing! I have a professional VS 2005 license, how do I add this?

I tried to download the demo version from microsofts website but it just overwrote the whole pro VS. Can you please advice?

Thanks.

Afraid I can't advise on licencing issues, except to say that if pro doesn't include testing capabilities that you want you may need to upgrade. Try searching MSDN or look at VS product info to find out for sure.

I am posting this question again because some issues with my no spam alias. Here it is the question: I have not been able to run unit tests for a VSTO (2005) project. I have an Excel project and a unit test project in the same solution. I have not found the way to initialize the runtimecallback as required by the code generated by visual studio (see statement below). I relay heavily on unit testing and having this working is a must. I...

I have been looking on and off for the past 6 months or so for some kind of guidance for creating asp.net unit tests with Visual Studio Team System, but I have yet to find anything significant. Does anyone know of any books/articles that address this? Right now I created a very basic page and created unit tests for it only to find that my webcontrols are not initialized when running the unit tests. So either I am doing something wrong...

I'm working in Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Developers I've used the wizard under the Test menu to create a bunch of unit tests. When I click "Test -Start Selected Test Project with Debugger" the tests run. I'd really like to create a WinForm User Interface to run the Unit Tests. The idea would be to give the user a list of Unit Tests in a table, and let the user select any combination of tests they like. The user then...

I was wonder if there is any protocol or suggestions on how to setup unit testing projects in large solution??? If you have a large solution of say 50 projects and add a project for every unit test it could get overwhelming - is there some standards on how to set this up??? Has anyone integrated this into Continuous Integration ???

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
