What are you trying to accomplish? You may want to consider using a repeater control with a gridview inside of your repeater.

Hi, I have a gridView (grid1), which as a templateColumn. In the template column, I have put in a gridView (grid2) and a ObjectDataSource (objectDataSource2). Question is... How to I pass the current_row_key of Grid1... to the objectDataSource2 parameter? (so that the second grid, gets only the information to do with current row of grid1)

Hello, Does anyone have an idea on how I can filter the data in the gridview control that was returned by an sql query? I have a gridview that works fine when I populate it with data. Now I want to look at that data and filter it based on what is in it. I know that this could have been done with data sets and data views in asp.net 1.1 but how is this done now in asp.net 2.0?

Hello, I am using ASP.NET 2.0. What I have done is nested a gridview inside another column of a gridview using a template data field column declaritively in my web form. Inside this child gridview I have set an ItemStyle property of width 20% for the first templated field which contains a hyperlink control, and an ItemStyle of width 80% for the second templated field which contains a label. Both of these controls are databound to...

Hello everybody, I'm using some gridviews with datalists inside template columns. Now, for each datalist I'm calling a method returning a dataset (depending from a column from the gridview). But I was wondering: is there a way to bring just one DataSet with two related tables and apply the "child" table to the datalist? I didn't find some examples of how to use DataRelations, so if anybody could

I have a GridView that has paging enabled. Each item (as defined in an ItemTemplate) includes several controls which have operations i would like to Atlas-enable. Everything is working well except when I page the GridView (the paging controllers are in the gridview's footer). The webpage doesnt scroll back to the top of the page, so when paging through the GridView the user is always looking at the last 4-5 items on the page. My current...

Hi ALL, I wonder if anyone has been using n-tier to bind to a GridView control by using the ObjectDataSource. This is our first OOP web application, and we have no tables. Right now we are simply working with objects in memory. So, it appears as though Microsoft requires that our datamapper classes reside inside a folder called "App_Code", and NO WHERE ELSE. So, has anyone successfully been able to place their datamappers in a...

I have to display a table with customer data (GridView). However, I want to be able to show DropDownList controls inside one of the columns, not just textbox controls. Is this possible? Is it possible to have all of the controls active so that a simple click of the Submit button updates all customer records with the data in those DropDownLists? I was able to do this with classic ASP, but with a GridView control (perhaps I need a...

Hi All, I have a GridView inside the EditItemTemplate of a FormView. Both FormView and GridView are data bound using an ObjectDataSource. When the FormView's ObjectDataSource object has a SelectParameters with a SessionParameter in the parameters collection and the object stored in the Session is a reference type, the DataGrid fails to enter Line Editing mode. Is this a bug? Is there a workaround for this problem?

Hello All, I am implementing autocomplete functionality for a textbox inside a gridview. For this I am using a Div control to place the data based on the prefix key entered inside textbox. As far as getting the data into the Div control is concerned, there is absolutely no problem, but the positioning of Div control is troubling me a lot. I want the Div Control to be outside the gridview and to be placed dynamically...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
