Hi,
Is there a way to have a "Auto Complete" textbox or a "editable"
dropdown?
Here is my problem.
I have a screen that need to have a list of 800+ employees. To be a
dropdown, that could be a lot of scrolling. and to enter the name in a
textbox leaves too many possible typos. So, is there a control that will do
a auto complete in the textbox as I type the name or have a combo box that I
could type and auto complete like in VB?

Hi,
I am developing an application using VB.Net and hope that the textbox can
process features which are similar to auto-complete features in Window. For
example, when user types "ap" in a textbox and the data associated to the
textbox contains ("apple", "applet", "application"......), the application
will suggest "apple" to the user to select and user can either select the
suggestion or continue to type another word he disires.
How...

I am looking to implement a search feature into a Windows Forms MDI
application. Specifically I plan to embed 3 textboxes into a toolbar; one
for LastName, another for FirstName, and one for CustomerID. When the user
starts typing into any of these textboxes I would like to pop up another
form that shows the user a dynamic list of the closest matches. The user can
then use the up- and down-arrow keys to select a customer from that pop up...

I have a massive address database, i want the "Address" textbox to be auto
complete but dont want to load all the names on first load... but show only
the ones that start with the first letter typed (that is load only those
ones into the autocomplete source to drastically reduce the load time from
the sql server to the textbox by this simple filter) any suggestions?

Hi,
I was hoping someone might have some ideas on how I can hack around a problem I'm having with the auto-complete feature of the ComboBox.
I have a data entry application that uses a pair of ComboBoxes on the main entry screen. These are configured to use the Suggest Append auto-complete feature with the List Items as the data source.
Functionally, it works great and really helps speed up the entry process.
However it appears that when...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
