I was just got VS 2005 preview, and was trying generics.
I tried the following code
int intArray = new int;
IList<int> intList = (IList<int>) intArray;
it didn't compile, also the following didn't compile

Does anyone know it is possible to include a small image(.gif .jpeg)
within a <SELECT><option> so that the user would see the option text as
well as a little image(icon) in the option? I know this is not an ASP.NET
related question, but I know this group is knowledgeable and quick with
responses.

I am adding integer values from a datarow collection to a List<int> using
the Add method. The values are read in the correct order from the
collection but once the List is populated, the values in the List are
sorted in ascending order. Why? This
is undesirable.

This seems inconsistent and more than a little bizarre.
Array.Clear sets all elements of the array to their default values (0,
null, whatever), whereas List<>.Clear removes all items from the list.
That part makes a reasonable amount of sense, as you can't actually take
items away from an Array. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to
perform the same operation in one fell swoop on a List<>.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
