Hi

I am using WMI for these opeartions.
The setup for .net application is as follows:
we have deployed .net application in IIS with Privilege Identity as "Local System" and Authentication level as "Windows Authentication"

When we are trying to shutdown/reboot the server from remote machine then it is throwing Exception "Privilege not Held".
Same Privilege problem with Date/Time settings also.

Can anyone help me in this issue?

Thanks,
Anu

I wanted to post this proposal on c.l.c++.m, but my news server apparently does not support that group any more. I propose a new class of exception safety known as the "smart guarantee". Essentially, the smart guarantee promises to clean up resources whose ownership is passed into the function, for whatever defintion of "clean up" is most appropriate for the resource passed. Note that this is different from both the basic and the...

Hello, I have a problem with a Java user-defined stored procedure and the "alter sequence" statement. I use DB2 8.1.2 and had the same problem with 8.1.0, but not with 7.*. I get the following message: SQL0206N "dipf.AENDERUNGSLISTE_SEQ" ist in dem verwendeten Kontext ungültig.

I'm trying to use impersonation with my asp.net application but once I added the <identity impersonate="true"/> line, my application would give me: Exception Details: System.ApplicationException: Access is denied. If I add my username/password to the identity tag (my account is under the Administrator and Debugger Users groups) I get the following: Could not create Windows user token from the credentials specified in

I haven't seen it mentioned, but I could have missed it. It seems like this kind of thing must be known and probably fixed already? I'm actually still using 7.4 beta 5. IIRC that was the last beta before the release and there were no changes for 7.4. db=> select table_name from information_schema.tables; ERROR: unrecognized privilege type: "RERERENCES" db=> \d information_schema.tables

Is it absolutely necessary to include "http://" in an A HREF hyperlink? Would it be wise to remove this from one's Links page, just to save code?

I've been bitten twice now by the same bug, and so I thought I would draw it to people's attention to try to save others the problems I've had. The bug arises when you copy code from a destructor to use elsewhere. For example, suppose you have a class Note. This class stores some text, as a linked list of lines of text. The destructor runs as follows: Note::~Note() {

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
