Can someone point me to a sample script that will log all visitors to my web site? I'm looking for a simple script that will capture IP address, Host Name, Browser, OS, and referring page - and write that info to MySql. I've created a MySql database - visitors - with the columns mentioned above, but am fumbling trying to get started with PHP... any help is appreciated!

i've got a client that wants to be able to review records about IIS generated emails. in his own words, he wants the "ability to track and report message status (i.e. how many messages were sent successfully, how many were blocked, how many bounced back with an incorrect address)" i'd start by adding a new row containing the email address, dateTime, etc when first sending the email, but how to track the rest of the info? for...

Hi. A client of mine has a website with a standard "Contact Us" form page with name, address etc. The information is currently sent via email to the client and is then data entered into their Access (2000) system. I am sure there is a better way of doing this.

hi all! I am starting to study the best way to track site visitors. Logfiles stats which come with every web hosting, have little metrics to be analyzed and also problems with cached pages which are not seen. I thought to use php and cookies to track returning visitors, however I see that all pro solutions use javascript to set cookies. Now since I prefer to avoid js as much as I can cause they can be blocked by browser settings, is it...

Does anyone have a favored way of finding the geographic location of a user's IP address, so that a php script can include content relevant to that location? Reverse-lookup of the hostname isn't reliable and often doesn't work, especially if the returned hostname ends with .com, .net, ..info, .biz or other tld that doesn't reveal geographic location. I also see a bunch of commercial services that offer a "country whois" function for a...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
