Does anyone know if there is a way to have an event fire when a computer
resumes / wakes up from sleep mode (assuming the app is running before and
after sleep mode is initiated). I am not talking about threading, I mean
sleep mode of the computer hardware like waking up from S2 or S3.

I am using 8 computers on a small network. I have one Main computer
which should be able to remotely start other computers. I used Wake on
LAN to start them all.
My Main computer is Linux.
Other 4 are Windows and 3 are Linux.

Hi
I have solution with two projects, one of them is a user control
I created public shared sub in the user control which mean to wake up the
control and start doing somthing, but when i try to call it from the main
project i get error message
"Cannot refer to an instance member of a class from within a shared method
or shared member initializer without an explicit instance of the class."

When I select standby by computer goes to sleep. When I try to wake it up
with the mouse or keyboard it will not work. The drives and monitor are
functioning though. I can even open the DVD/CD drives. I end having to hold
the power button and restart. I've disabled Hibernate thinking that be it.
I've enabled keyboard to wake it up in the device manager.

Is it possible (by code) to set a timer and "force" the computer to
wake up from hibernation/standby/sleep mode (either at specific
time... or after specific interval) through C# code?

I currently have a VB program that uses the Shell command to shut it down. I use shutdown -f to shut the computer down.
I was wondering if anyone knows what I can use to put the computer to sleep (S3 mode) and at the same set it to wake up at a certain time?
I know there are programs that can do that but I need to a command that I can use in VB using Shell.
