programmer who made a lot of mistakes so errors are common. I
appreciate my client's diligence but the number and large size of the

Hi all,
I'm still working on my Caller ID software. As it sits in the traybar
and basically does nothing, after a few minutes the screen saver kicks
in and it still works, but I have to go move the mouse or something to
actually see what's being displayed.
Is there a way I can force the screen saver to stop while my program
pops up its window? And later resume it normally (with it's default
timeout, I don't care)

Is there a way that VB can know when the operating system
goes into screen save mode? I have continuous polling I
wish to pause while in screen save mode. And likewise to
wake back up when the screen saver is turned back off.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

First of all, I thought this might be a directory security issue but it's not.
I was able to upload the file to the directory via HTTP.
Here's the situation.
I have a JPG file on my server.
..../images/myPIC.jpg
I wanted to draw a box or line using GDI+ on top of myPIC.jpg and then save

method could make system into standby or hibernate state, but I don't
know how to reboot the system.

I am developing an application that will show movies. When you wach a movie,
you do not want the Power Option "Turn off monitor" to be anabled. Is there
anyway to fix this from VB.net? (note that I am not talking about the screen
saver, that is something else).
