What's the deal with SQLServer 2005 Beta?
I've just got a magazine with a free cover disk with VB 2005 beta,
and also includes SQLServer 2005. I've installed it, but I can't get it
to do anything. It seems to have installed ok, there are the data files
for allthe usual system and example databases in place, and Task
Manager shows that SQLServer is definitely running. However the
only tool that came with it is called 'Computer...

call to foo would return obj.bar.
The following works, but I would prefer to use a built-in way if one

I need to store and retrieve information from a database. It looks as though
there is a lot more support for SQLServer than there is for Access, correct
me if I am wrong.
What do I have to do to get SQLServer and which version should I be using.
Or is SQLServer already part of the VS.Net? Are there any good examples that
you know of.

When trying to create an SqlServer job, clicking OK' I got the message
"Error 823: I/O error (torn page) detected during read at offset..... in

We just migrated to SqlServer 2005. When I import tables from from
SqlServer database into another the identity fields get switched off
from being identities.
How can I prevent that from happening?

Once again I have hit a brick wall here. I have a combobox in which
the user types the server name and then clicks on button 'CONNECT' to
populate the next combobox which contains all the databases in that
server. Then after the user selects a database, I have another button

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
