I'm new to Perl (although I have about 7 years of C++ experience), and I was
just wondering which of these two equivalent statements the group thinks is
"better", and why:
push @command, map {exists $options{$_} ? ($options{$_}, $comments{$_}) :
()} keys %comments;
push @command, map {($options{$_}, $comments{$_})} grep exists $options{$_},
keys %comments;

is it necessary that define special initialization syntax for "static const int"?

I have some servlet-generated tabular data that I need to present, so I'm
using an HTML Table. In some cases, it can be quite large. I'm flushing
the servlet output every N lines to push the data to the browser as it
generates, and I've used "table-layout: fixed" for the table's CSS class.
It works pretty well in Netscape (7.1 and higher) - the table is drawn
pretty much as the rows are received by the browser. However, Internet...

Is there any module or interface that allow the programmer to access a
imap4/pop3 server in a more pythonic (or Object Oriented) way than the
usual imaplib and popolib?
I mean: is there any module that would allow me to query the server for
specific messages (and fetch them) in a way similar to a OODB?
TIA

We all know that the "gets" function from the Standard C Library (which
is part of the Standard C++ Library) is dangerous. It provides no
bounds check, so it's easy to overwrite memory when using it, and
impossible to guarantee that it won't happen.
Therefore, i think it's surprising that this function has not been
deprecated.
The C++98 Standard keeps it from the C89 standard.
The C99 Standard has kept it :-o.

I am new to object oriented programming and .net. I have a question
concerning using singletons.
Lets say I have the following:
public class Engine
{
public static readonly Engine Instance = new Engine();//singleton
private Device device;

The young golfer from Wales believes "Discipline is definitely learned
and gets better with practice."
Doctors and scientists said that breaking the four-minute mile was
impossible, that one would die in the attempt. Thus, when I got up
from the track after collapsing at the finish line, I figured I was
dead.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
