I'm using SgmlReader (found at
http://www.gotdotnet.com/Community/UserSamples/Details.aspx
?SampleGuid=b90fddce-e60d-43f8-a5c4-c3bd760564bc)and I'm
trying to make it iterate over (process) numerous files
(actually, one feeds it urls to the various files.) The
download includes both a C# Solution for ASP.NET and a
CommandLine CSproject.
I have 2 questions:

I'm writing an application that should work both as a GUI and a commandline
program.
When running from commandline I want to give all output to the commandline
instead of showing it it an own interface.
When I use Console.writeline the output doesn't appear at the commandline
prompt though.
I guess this is because the default output for the Console.Writeline is set
to the (invisible) gui at that time.
Is there a way to avoid/change...

Hello!
I have wrote a windows service in vb.net. This service monitors the running
processes with WMI and the Win32_Process class. Till last month all seems
ok. But since the begin of september the service can't retrieve the
commandline property of the processes. I think this is an result of .NET
Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 or XP SP2.
Did somebody recognice the same effect? Did anybody knows how i can retrieve
the commandline property...

I am looping through the array of processes returned by
Process.GetProcesses(). How do I get the command line parameters that
each of the processes was started with? Kind of like in the
SysInternals' Process Explorer?
I've tried Process.StartInfo.Arguments property but it is always empty.
Thanks.

This has been driving me insane for the last hour or so. I have search
everywhere, and nothing works. I am trying to use the subprocess module
to run a program and get its output line by line. But, it always waits
for the process to terminate and then return the output all at once.
Can someone please show me some code that actually works for this sort
of thing? It doesn't even have to use the subprocess module. Don't
worry if the code...

I need to obtain the username of the currently logged in user on a
machine. However, the program that needs to do this will be running
under different credentials to the logged in user, so using
Environment.UserName will give the user name of the user that is
running the program.
Any help would be appreciated, this is giving me a headache.

Hi All!
After hours of searching the net, I found nothing really substantial
about this. For me, passing username and password from the commandline,
is not very unsecure, but there is no way described, how this can work.
Without preparation, a GUI appears, even user/pwd are specified on the
commandline. Naturally, I do not want to specify username and password
in the source .
I experimented with the installer classes and discovered...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
