Hi,
I have a USB mass storage device being developed by
colleagues, and need to interface that to a Windows Forms
application (C#). The device is neither purely a storage
device nor an HID device, it is a combination of the two,
so it seems expedient to use files to communicate PC <->
Device.
The device can read AND WRITE files.

mass-storage device). However i cant fugure out how to do it using c#.

It is maybe not a pure Python question, but I think
it is the right newsgroup to ask for help, anyway.
After connecting a drive to the system (via USB
or IDE) I would like to be able to see within seconds
if there were changes in the file system of that drive
since last check (250 GB drive with about four million
files on it).
How to...

I am writing a C# app that needs to periodically poll for cdroms and usb
storage device insertions. I've looked at the WMI functions but haven't
found anything all that useful. The closest is Win32_DiskDrive, but it
doesn't seem to return any information on cdrom devices. I suspect there
might be a Win32 API call, but I haven't found any info...

Hey Group,
After a long week end I am back again. Its nice and refreshing after a short
vacation so lets get started with .NET once again.
Today we will discuss about Isolated Storage. This is one of the topics
which I find interesting as I feel that it has a lot of practical usage or
applicability.
We all know that all applications...

I am needing to read and write application settings from within my ASP.NET
application. My web.config is not an option since I need to be able to write
settings as well. My database is not an option either as the database
location itself is one of the settings.
I've been trying to work with Isolated Storage, but it is obviously designed
to...

Hi All,
Apologies if this has come up before, but how can I set up something
that will notify me when a removeable drive (like a USB drive or
CompactFlash card) is inserted into its slot? Ideally I would like
some sort of event that would call my code when it happens. The
FileSystemWatcher object doesn't seem able to do this, unless I am...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
