There is something with initializing mutable class attributes that I am
struggling with. I'll use an example to explain:
class Father:
attr1=None # this is OK
attr2= # this is wrong
def foo(self, data):
self.attr1=data
self.attr2.append(data)
The initialization of attr1 is obviously OK, all instances of Father
redefine it in the method foo. But the initialization of attr2 is wrong

Hi,
I am building a single webform/webpage asp.net application using VB.NET.
I have created lots of classes for this web application.
On page load I use a facade controller pattern class to perform all my initial
class object instaniations using sub new() procedures
I'm using this project to learn the ins and outs of OOA and OOD, so instead
of doing everything in code behind pages I have lots of objects now created

I would like to build a class that has properties which can be accessed by
string names or index numbers in the form of MyClass.Item("LastName"). The
string names or item index values would be populated by a data-driven loop.
I need a few pointers to get me started in the right direction. I'm pretty

Just starting to move to ASP.NET 2.0 and having trouble with the Global.asax
code file.
In 1.1 I could have a code behind file for the global.asax file. This allow
for shared variables of the Global class. Note: I use these shared variables
for read only values that are set at application start.
