I'm working on a Windows app that has a ListView containing a bunch of items.
When the user clicks on an item, the app displays the item'd details. The
user then has the opportunity to edit these details. The user should click
the Save button after each change, but of course that doesn't always happen.
If the user makes changes and doesn't click Save, the app displays a message
box asking if they'd like to save their changes. This box...

Hi All,
I'm trying to find the best way to select an item in a ListView using the
Virtual mode. My "items" are business classes, and I have a reference to
once I want to select (passed from another dialog). One way is to spin
through the items and compare the .Tag property to my business object (code
below), however I fear the casts are probably costly (there could be a lot
of servers). I also thought about spinning through the servers...

I know you can select a single item in a list view using the following
code
listView.Items.Selected = true;
Is it possible to do this for all items in the listView control without
using a loop?
Thanks.

Hi everybody!
I have a listview and a treeview in a form . With an OpenDialog I let the
user select multiple files and then these files are added to the listview
with the complete pathname, while they are added to the treeview without the
path (only file name). I'd like the user would be able to remove multiple
items selecting filenames from the listview.
So, items should be removed both from the listview and the treeview.
How can I do...

Hi all!
I have a problem (performance issue) with listview. I have implemented an
ItemSelectionChange on my listview and put some code in it (I build some
toolbar based on selection and update info in statusbar). When selecting one
item (clicking on listview) it works fast, without noticing. However if
selecting multiple items with SHIFT (approx. 500 items) or selecting with
mouse, for each item selected through all listview an event...

Hi,
I've got a list view that displays a series of images. I'd like to be
able to draw a divider across the list view to divide the images into
groups. Ideally, I'd have a group name, with a line underneath it that
spans the ListView. How could this be done? I tried using an image as
the divider, but it forced the divider image to be the same size as
the image size used for the ImageList that stores the images for the
ListView.

Is there a way to get a ListView control to fire its
SelectedIndexChanged event like the ListBox control? When the user
selects multiple items at once, the ListView fires the event as each
item gets selected. The ListBox waits to fire the event until all
selections are complete.
Thanks,
Mike

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
