We have an application which uses some mixed-mode code to expose a .NET 1.1
managed API. Only the necessary files are compiled with /clr.
We want to be able to load the application without .NET present, and then
just disable the API.
But we are not even able to give an error message when we start the
application without mscoree.dll present. We have tried delay-loading

I've been trying to convert a Standard C++/MFC application to Managed
C++/Forms (the application is pretty complex but the GUI is just a
simple status dialog).
I created a new project shell and have been slowly adding in new code.
The code compiles perfectly but now when I try to run or debug I get the
error:
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click on OK
to terminate the application."

I'm testing VS 2005 Beta 2, and I've compiled a program that

I built a very simple program called First.exe. It is a form that has a
few text labels on it and a picturebox that displays a JPG. Nothing else.
Works fine on the computer it was built on.
Gives the "Application Failed To Initialize Properly" message when run
on other computers (w/o VStudio) and terminates. I didn't think it was
necessary to distribute anything other than the .exe. What am I missing?

with no problems. It has suddenly stopped working.
When I try to execute any .net application a popup with the following
error appears twice in succession:

Hi, all.
I've been working on a .NET project written in C# for the past three
months. Yesterday, all of a sudden, I get The application failed to
initialize properly (0xc0000005) error when i try to execute the .exe I
built from my project. I'm sure I did not do any .NET framework
install/uninstall/updates at all, neither did I delete any .dll files

The information I got from internet was if the .Net 2.0 is not installed on

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
