I'm just learning PHP, and I'm having a problem using fpassthru(). I
want to download a file using the following code segment I found,
which I put into my testing file called portal.php:
$fileString = './' . $params;
// translate file name properly for Internet Explorer.
if ( strstr( $_SERVER, "MSIE" )) {
$params = preg_replace( '/\./', '%2e', $params,
substr_count($params, '.') - 1 );
}

I have the following class that I've wirtten to take a Dataset and
automatically export it to either XML, ASCII or Tab delimited file. The
reason I wrote it they way I did was that I don't want to have o create a
temporary file on the web server everytime someone want to run and export.
When I call the ExportToBrowser function the user gets the standard
open/save file dialog box. If the user chooses to save the file the program
works...

Hi All,
I am faced with a horrible hang problem. I have a COM exe server that executes some tasks. The task execution manager is a thread that manages the pool of threads, which is 4 per processor. Each task is processed in a separate thread. Each of the executer threads is an STA thread, and it goes ahead and executes the task.
No problems are encountered when tasks are executed one at a time, but when multiple tasks are executed...

Can somebody help me with a delimiter problem I have.
I have several PIPE (|) delimted text files which I need to import to
SQL.
With one of the files I keep encountering the following error;
"Error at Source for Row 27753. Errors encountered so far in this task:
1. Column Delimter not found."
I suspect the problem is that one record (and possibly more) has a PIPE

Dear MSSQL- experts,
I have a strange problem with SQLSERVER 2000.
I tried to export a table of about 40000 lines into a text file using
the Enterprise manager
export assitant. I was astonished to get an exported text file of about
400 MB instead 16 MB which is the normal size of that data.
By examining this file with a text editor I found that the file
included alongside the data of my table MANY zeros which caused the big
file size.

Hi,
I'm experiencing a strange problem with .mdb files.
We have two buildings connected by optical fiber (a single LAN).
Everything works perfect with any file, any size, any application
software. The hardware has been tested several times. Viruses, trojans
and so on: clean for sure.
The problem is that .mdb files (_only .mdb files_) often don't open,
are very slow, or even get crashed and corrupted.
The weird is that even copying them...

Hello,
I have a possible problem exporting a text field that happens to
contain dates (but is not a date field) when using TransferText in MS
Access 2000.
I am exporting a query to a text file using TransferText in a module.
One of my fields is a text field called "invoice description". This
field may include any content including dates (e.g., 01/01/2006,
1/1/2006, 01/01/06, Invoice #1, Jan 2006, 293842, etc. are all

I'm trying to set up an inheritance tree that also uses templates. This is an attempt to simplify some previous code that was filled with redundancies. I'm working with g++ 3.4.6. The code is split over four files: two headers and two implamentation files, but uses the include trick mentioned on another thread to connect the header and implamentation files together. The base class header is
#ifndef _BASEDATA_H_
#define _BASEDATA_H_

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
