Hi,
I am trying to tuning up the performance of PSQL. I have tried
changing the cache size. I found that the default page size if 8k, I
am just wondering has any one know, if page size if biger the better
or smaller the better, what is a good number of page size? My OS is
red hat 8, and the OS page size is 4K. So should I change PSQL page
size to 4k or to 16K, 32K?
Thanks,

I created a report to print labels, and it created a custom page size for
the report.
When I opened the properties of the printer driver I could see it listed -
as Custom.
Then I had to change printer drivers. (Long story, rather OT.)
When I displayed the report, it was formatted for a full page -
not real useful for mailing labels.
The list of available page sizes did not include Custom.

HI Every body ,
I would like to know whether is it mandatory to give Tablespace page
size and Bufferpool page size equal..? i also heard like while creating
tablespace if pages size of tablespace and bufferpool , the statement
itself will fail ...why i'm asking is if we chose a different page size
( ofcourse less than bufferpool page size ) only it shoud affect the
performance of db2 ..
Thanks in Advance

What's the best way to return to GridView after editing a detail record in a
FormView so the GridView shows the page with the edited record on it?
I'm using GridView with standard ObjectDataSource, no custom paging.
Thanks for any tips on this.

wat will happen to a std string function like strcmp etc when the size
of the string is greater than page size of the OS?
A bigger question is how will they be even stored? (if at all they can
be stored)
My guess is that this is not an issue as I assume we can malloc like
1MB(>page size), so when we try to access it,
both the pages are brought to memory. Does malloc by default tries to
allocate in the same page? If so, how will it deal...

Hi is there a way in asp.net 1.1 to in code behind query the page size that
is generated, I realise IIS does it as it has that data in the logs, I would
like to capture this data so that I can create a log for performance on our
site that is all held in the database

VB.NET(ASP.NET 2.0)-WEB
.NET PLATFORM
GridView Page Size is not working
Hi,
I have set the pagesize of a gridview to 22(both in aspx file as well as in the .vb file. But it's showing only 19 records on the first results set and I can see a blank space for 3 records from the headers of the gridview to the first record it's showing. So it seems like the gridview has allocated space for all 22 records. But if I click on navigation...

I am a newbie who has followed a tutorial re a datalist pager. The tutrial expects its students to be more experienced than me. ie it expects students to know what goes at the top of the code behind page ( "imports" in VB / "using" in C# ) and I think it expects students to adjust Visual Studio property / events without any guidence. I have managed most of the adjustments in VWD user interface properties window but it appears that I am missing...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
