Hello every one,
I am working in Asp.Net 2005 web Application.I am storing my employees Details in the Database that includes there Birthday dates,Emailid.S o my task is automatically mail should be sent the particular employee whose birthday matches with the current server date.how can i implement this in VS2005 ???.
can anyone help me out.

I have stored all the values in the database.
Two Options is there.
One when the application starts the system date is captured and checks with the database.If it s equal then alertbox would be sent ,if yes,the interface would be opened.This s where i stopped.
My Probs s Mail should be sent automatically when the birthday date matches with the current server date.bcos server will be on for all 365 days in big companies and it when application is on/off .how this stored procedure would be called in SQL Server 2005.And moreover message should be sent that mail is sent to ___ perosn at ___time when the application starts for the first time
Can this be possible .If Please how???

You shouldn't be using an ASP.NET application to do this.
ASP.NET applications are used to server information into Web Pages...they aren't meant for the purpose that you are trying to do.
Look into creating a windows service that does this instead. Have it run in a timer event and send the email at a specific time in the day (say midnight).
This windows service should run on a computer that does not turn off...in a place where it cannot easily be closed/turned off by users....so you're looking at running it on a server computer.
