When trying to add the Microsoft CDO for Exchange Management Library (aka CDOEXM.dll) I receive the following message:
"A reference to 'Microsoft CDO for Exchange Management Library' could not be added. Converting the type library to a .Net assembly failed. A depended type library 'CDO' could not be converted to a .NET assembly. A dependent type library 'ADODB' could not be converted to a .NET assembly. Item has already been added."

hello all,
is it possible to convert a visual studio 5 or 6 project/workspace
in one go to 2003 or 2005 withou errors.
i have tried it but i received several errors.
one of them was: cannot find iostream.h.
when i had inserted iostream manually,
from a former version of studio,
i received 23 errors while my project was errorless
in vstudio 6.

I have 4 Windows 2000 Servers. I have installed the DotNet Framework 2.0 on
all 4 servers.
Three of these servers show a tab for ASP.NET in the IIS MMC and are running
Visual Studio 2003.
One server that has Visual Studio 2005 installed does not show this ASP.NET
tab.

After a computer crash, I was given VS 2005 and am having more than a
little difficulty getting things to open in VS 2005.
At first, I tried converting the project. That failed (it brought in

Hi folks,
I just converted my C#/C++ 2003 solution to 2005. The conversion of all
31 projects worked fine, but I can't start it now. It tells me:
"Can't start 'xxx.exe' or one of its depencies. The module was expected
to contain an assembly manifest."
The build worked fine, but the program won't start in Visual Studio.
When I start the .exe in the Windows Explorer, it all works fine?

I'm trying to convert a 1.1 app to 2.0, and keep finding one thing after
another that either Framework 2.0 or Visual Studio 2005 doesn't like.
Now this -
In the global.asax, code that has been running for nearly 4 years now is
giving me a problem. The code is supposed to give the user a "clean"
page with a login link on it and send an email to me when an app blows
up. It also is supposed to write to the event log too.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
