How do you raise an event when a cell in a row changes?
I'm using a Datagrid not a Datagrid view. What I want to do is - call my update param when the user changes a value in a cell. How can this be done?

Hi, I am using a standard .NET 1.0 Datagrid. Actually, I am using two, bound to a master-detail relationship. Both DataGrids are bound to a datasource. I have the MSDN version of the DateTime picker functioning quite well in the datagrid. I am also tracking a double-click event within another column in the datagrid. The column is just text. When the double-click event trigger fires, I load a borderless form, from which a user...

The following assumes a System.Windows.Forms.DataGrid with a System.Data.DataTable set as the DataSource. I'm programming in C# Here's my scenario I click in a cell on a DataGrid. I enter some text. Before changing to another cell in the DataGrid, I move my mouse pointer off the DataGrid and change the selected item in a ListBox or TreeView. Here's my question Which should fire first, the DataTable's RowChanged/CellChanged event or...

G'day, After doing much searching and pinching bits of ideas from here there and everywhere I came up with a fairly 'clean' solution of including a comboBox into a dataGrid column. You can download a fully working C# sample with the Northwind.mdb here: www.insightgis.com.au/web/stuff/DataGridCombo.zip

Hi all, I'm having problems with datagrids and the currentcellchanged event. My problem is this: I have a datagrid on a form, if the user changes the text in a cell on the datagrid then tries to close the form via a button on the toolbar (with going to another cell in the datagrid)I want to be able to popup a messagebox to the user asking them if they want to keep their changes. At the momment I'm accomplishing this by a property that...

I've a datagrid whose datasource is an arraylist object. The arraylist holds many instances of a specific class. I've two questions about this: 1 - Is there a way by which I can obtain a reference to the arraylist item the current row points to? 2 - Is it possible to sort the grid? Many thanks in advance.

I want to fire a database update off of a single change to a single cell in the datagrid. This apparently cannot be done using keypress, keyup, keydown, etc. I've read George Shepard's FAQ and while I may have overlooked it, I have not found an answer. I now am using the CurrentCellChanged event, and this is satisfactory IF the user moves off of the cell before closing the form. An obvious alternative would be to check for changes before...

A Form has a DataGrid which displays records from a SQL Server 2005 DB table. Users can modify the records using this DataGrid for which I am using EditCommandColumn in the DataGrid. This is the code: <script runat="server"> Dim sqlConn As New SqlConnection(".....") Sub Page_Load(ByVal obj As Object, ByVal ea As EventArgs) If Not (Page.IsPostBack) Then FillDataGrid()

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
