Visible problem in a VB Web Form

5 New Member
Hi,

I am completely new at .Net and have created a web form, which makes a dropdown field invisible when a certain value is selected and makes another text field visible. How can I execute this without submitting the form.

You can set the AutoPostBack property of your control to true to make the form postback without a button click event.

Thanks and Hello to you! I have a form in A2k that has a tab control on it. The form opens the first page and filters the records I want just fine. When I click a tab, to view another set of records (different filter), the filter does not work. At the same time, I am trying to set certain fields as visible or invisible depending on the tab, and having problems with that as well. It seems that after initially setting the filter, the...

Hi, I have a form which contains a number of subforms in different pages of a tab control. In the detail section of each subform, I list records related to the main form record, but from different tables. In the footer section of the subform I have a Notes text box and three buttons (Add, Update, Delete). The latter each open a separate form for updating or deleting the subform data (the records cannot be updated or deleted directly...

Greetings. I have three forms that are open at the same time. They are related and cascading. The first form (frmEventAdd) is the anchor. Each event can have many Trials. The second form is frmTrialInfo. Each Trial can have three Classes. The third form is frmClassInfo. These forms are used for update and adding new records. The user displays an event for update (frmEventAdd). Then clicks on a button to display the Trials for that event...

How would you determine if a window(Form) is visible. By visible I mean that you can currently see it, as apposed to Form.Visible. (which returns True when the window sits behind other windows) Using Form.Focused is no good because the form is still visible even when its not focused. -- Wal http://www.vooose.com

Can anyone explain why this happens with the code at the bottom? It looked like a thread safety issue, but changing the declaration of Label1 to Shared doesn't help. Standard windows form; one label, two buttons. - if Label1.Visible is set to True in the form designer, everything works as expected. Button1 toggles the label visibility, and Button2

Hi I have a form with multiple labels and textboxes and listboxes that need to be made visible and not visible when buttons are clicked. Is there anyway of grouping them together so that I have less lines of code instead of 100's of lines stating: LblA.Visible = True LblB.Visible = True LblC.Visible = True

I have an MDI container with a child Form which will be visible according to certain events. The problem is that when I set the property Visible to False and then back to True, the Form will be in another location, or it will be maximized. Why does the child Form change its location when the Visible propery is set true (after being set to False)? Why doesn't it stay with the same Size and the same Location? Thanks.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
