I previously posted re. this, but thought I'd try again with a summary of
facts.
I have an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL Server 7 back end. There is a view that
is linked to the database via ODBC and has been in place for several years
without any performance problems.
Recently I added a couple of fields to the output of the view, and it...

Hi,
I have docked a tree view to the left on a form. When I
start to populate this tree view with nodes, a horizontal
scroll box appears in the bottom of the tree view even
though thee tree view is big largely big enough to fit
the nodes and text. If I widen the tree view the scroll
bar doesn't resize itself to show the relative view size...

I have a problem in the ListBox - Webcontrol(ASP.NET).
If the length of the string exceeds the width of the
ListBox, I am unable to view the full string, since the
horizontal scroll bar does not exist. How do we include a
horizontal scroll bar for a list box in a web control?
Thanks in advance...

Hi all,
I am having a small problem with a tree control I am playing with.
I have created a custom tree view that displays nodes with a linktext control to the right of the nodes. When the linktext is clicked the linktext control is hidden and a combo box appears in its place that allows the
user to choose an option. Once selected, the...

It seems that when I dynamically resize items in a tree-view control, using TVM_SETITEM and the TVITEMEX iIntegral member, things go awry. The window draws properly, but it seems like the RECTs for the HTREEITEMs are not updating properly. This is espeically true if I update the size of an individual HTREEITEM more than once -- making it larger,...

Hi all,
I've posted this before but received no answers and it is an issue . . .
One of my pages is using a treeview webcontrol. I load the treeview with
data which only has two levels (i.e. parents and their children).
My question is how can I code the treeview so only once a user has clicked
on one of the children, a postback is...

I have created a web control that can be rendered as either a linkbutton or a
button. It is a ConfirmButton control that allows a developer to force a user
to confirm if they intended to click it such as when they do a delete.
Everything is great. By and large it will be used in my repeater controls
using the command event when the user...

I have generated a nice tree view that displays some otherwise cyptic XML in
an easy to follow manner. The trouble is that the TreeView assumes that I'm
wanting a link in each of the nodes, and I really just want to display them
for view only. How can I disable the link-ness of the data in the tree view?
I have tried setting the target of...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
