Ok... I am having problems getting variables/values INTO Flash from an external source (PHP). I'm NOT having problems getting loadVariablesNum() to _SEND_ variables via POST, but I _AM_ having difficulty reading back into Flash local variables. Say, for instance, I have a Flash page that has a number of typein fields. Each of the typeins has a variable associated with it.

Hi folks, IE and Asp.net 2.0 are doing some pretty bizzare things. Some of our users were getting pretty weary of IE redrawing and "flashing" what is essentially a pretty static page every time there is a postback (IE Version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2,,,,; Doesn't happen under firefox - bless those folks). Anyway try this:

I was thinking about where to go for lunch the other day, so I went to hardees.com to see what the menu looked like these days. What comes up is a big note that my flash version is not new enough so I can't use the site. What complete losers! When are businesses going to understand that the purpose of a web site is to communicate with customers or business parterns and NOT so your "web master or "web engineer" can show off what they...

Greeings, all, Flash 8 has quiz templates which are coded for multiple choice, true/false, text statement, and matching types of questions, along with hotspots and probably anoher type I am forgetting. The test taker makes their selection(s) or answers, and clicks a "check answer" button. They then get a feedback statements depending on whether they have answered correctly or not. Many questions involve multiple selections to be correct, but...

I found several discussions that hinted at my issue, but none that contained a solution. I have a main page that contains a FLASH movie/Menu. The rest of the site is contained in an IFrame that gets filled when the Flash buttons are clicked. Those pieces work as expected. On several of the iframe pages I have some movable panels that are Javascript driven. They work fine the first time the page is loaded. However, if the user goes to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
