I have a camera system (Axis) which stores JPG via FTP 1-10fps. There
is also a motion jpg live stream.
I am trying to store these images either in JPG or in video format so
they can be reviewed at a later date. I would need to be able to pull
a date-time range from the list.
This means 86,400 - 2,160,000 images (around 110Kb a piece) per camera
a day, depending on speed 1fps - 10fps. There will probably be 1-5
cameras typically. ...

I'm trying to quickly grab the dimensions out of the headers of JPEG files.
I need to look for the hex string FFC0001108 in a file that will be from 1-40
megs in size. If someone has experience doing a similar type of search, what
is the most efficient method you have found for doing this? I can see doing
this by comparing the first byte of the string to each consecutive byte of
the file until it is found, and then checking for the rest of...

Hi,
I am trying to find a working solution for download of large files (400-800
MB)...
But this seems almost impossible to find a working example.
I have tried Response.Transmitfile, this works for some people…but in my
case the server reset the connection after approx. 20 minutes and sometimes
after
7-8 minutes…the download speed is however very good 400MB takes about 10

In my need to decode a JPEG 2000 file, I discovered like many that
there was no functionality for this in the .NET Framework. Instead of
forking out a pile of cash to do this, I came up with the idea that
costs nothing and it is inheritently built into the Framework. So here
is the solution...
When you use the WebRequest and WebResponse classes to obtain graphics
from a web site, these classes have built-in decoding for JPEG 2000
files....

Hi,
I'm working on project where I need to grab video from an Axis IP
camera. This camera send a stream of a multipart message on HTTP. I
write this code (at the bottom of the message) to read and uncompress
each jpeg images. I call nextFrame() 24 times per seconds (or every
0,0416 sec.) to read the next image that arrived.
Everything works well but one thing. My problem is that running
nextFrame() took, most of the time, more then...

Hello,
I wonder how do I create reasonable thumbnails from JPEG with PIL.
My code:
logging.debug('Downloading image %s' % id)
uri = ''.join(, '?p=',
str(id)])
uf = urlopen(uri).read()
f = tmpfile()

I am trying to upload large images ( around 4 mb) from the server to show on
the client. Currently I'm using an http handler to do it and breaking it
into chunks sending it 1 mb at a time. Sometimes I'm getting errors, like
the page won't load. Any solutions on how this is done right? Thanks for
your help.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
