In vs 2003/1.1 runtime I was using the NetXP (www.dacris.com) extensions
that allowed you to make windows forms that had the tab control found in
Visual Studio .NET. I mean like the solution browser, class viewer, etc.
windows...how you could drag & drop the subwindows, or stick and hide them,
etc.
Is there a built in control like this for VS 2005/2.0 runtime? I can't
seem to find it. It does have the Office 2003 style toolbars built...

Hello,
I look at the asp.net 2.0 web parts tutorial on the asp.net web site. I
tried to run it under firefox browser but it did not run.
If I want to use this feature in a commercial product where the user can run
on firefox/mozilla, what would be a good approach.
1. Should I overwrite the javascript code drag-and-drop to make it more
browser independent. If I want to go this route, can anybody provide me a

Hi,
I would like to code kind of Form designer. I would like it to act like the
VB.NET designer and the problem I am actually facing is about the drag &
drop of controls on the form. I add them with a button (no problem with
this) and also resizes them too (no problem there too). But when comes the
time to move them with the mouse, changing containers etc. I am speechless.
I tried with drap & drop (Dodragdrop) but I get a problem with...

Can anyone point me to a tutorial on reordering items within a single
listbox using the mouse, ie drag and drop, specifically with vb.net.
Google shows me various half-references eg to related controls, vb6 or
whatever, but nothing that seems to relate specifically to vb.bet and
reordering within a single listbox control.
Thanks

I had a problem with a form where I was representing a work sheduling application graphically in that I needed to be able to use drap & drop capabilities to allow the user to move text boxes around the form.
On researching the problem I came across this entry which gives the code to do this, as well as to drop items from one list box into another.
I noticed that several recent posts would have found this to be the solution so here it is

Using VS2008/VBasic/WPF Application
I have a text box and wish to drap a file onto it from the file system
(explorer). I've tried to mimic what worked in VS2005 (Windows forms) and I
can't get it to work....when I drag the file onto the TextBox I get the "not
allowed" mouse symbol (a circle with a line through it).
The textbox has the AllowDrop property set to TRUE
The textbox's DragEnter() event has the following code:

I'm a rookie trying to learn Visual Basic 2008 Express and I have created an app that includes a web browser. I need to drag and drop text and images from the browser into form controls. I currently am able to highlight text and drag it into a textbox fine. I would like to be able to drag a hyperlink into a textbox and get the links displayed text without first having to to highlight the link. So far the only thing that I get is the links...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
