I have a dom tree(same kind of treeview in .net). when user clicks on it , I pass the id to a hidden field and update it with ajax. The main page has one if clause to get the condition of hidden field and proceed. This if caluse fetches the data from data base and generates path to root of the clicked node. The path is stored on a server side value. I need to use this value to update the value of a text box. No posting can be done as the user might have entered other input fields and text boxes. So I would not lose those data. I have one button and onclick it may update the text field. But how do I pass the server side value to client side.. I mean to the button click event

Your question is in regards to ASP.NET which is part of the .NET package, so I have moved it to the .NET forum. (BTW I changed the title before I tried to move it, and I don't know how it reverted. Anyway, this title is not very descriptive, and it is unlikely that people will open this thread. Unfortunately, now that it has been moved, I can't change the title.)

What are you doing here?
you're recalculating a path and this needs to be displayed in a TextBox?
Are you using Ajax.NET? If so you need to put the button and the TextBox in the UpdatePanel so that the TextBox is updated when the button asynchronously submits that section of the page...........

Is it possible? In the parent process, I have a socket that binds,
listens and then accepts new connections (which creates new sockets in
the process). I want to be able to pass some of these new sockets to
a spawned process. Is it possible, and if so how?
Any help is much appreciated!!

Does anyone have experience with passing variables from an ASP page to
a JSP page.
The way it currently works in passing the SSN in the URL. This cannot
be good.
I thought that storing a unique session ID in a cookie and referencing
the SSN from the Session ID would be the correct way to do this. But
since we have two separate servers, IIS and Websphere, how do we
coordinate the session ID?

Hello,
I have been desperately trying to programmatically authenticate a windows
user, create their credentials, and then redirect them to a different server
while passing the credentials at the same time so that they don't have to
login again.
Specifically, I have two webservers in the same domain. When I have a user
go to Webserver A (which uses basic authentication) I programmatically
create either a user credential or impersonate...

I have created a component which parses some flat
files and stores in Sql database. Now I want to move
that COM object to database server.
Now the scenario will be like this :
1) ASP page will get the file from the client
2) Then ASP page will call the stored procedure
alongwith the file data as parameter.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
