asp.net, visual studio 2003, IE6
I have a sample web page that is linked to another page. On the first page,
I have a text box, on the second, the first page's text box text is displayed
using a session variable. This works fine. However, when I return to the
first page, the text box content is blank.
If, prior to going to the second page, I hit 'refresh', the text disappears.
If I add a button control to the page, and click it before...

I have a dropdownlist which lives inside of a repeater. The repeater
accepts user input via textboxes and the aforementioned dropdownlist.
The repeater accepts phone numbers and allows for an arbitrary number
of empty rows to be added to it.
So, if a user knew in advance that they wanted to add 3 phone numbers,
they can type the nuber '3' in a textbox (outside the repeater)
and click a button (also outside of a repeater), and 3 new empty ...

Here is the situation (in VisualC++6 environment):
1. some number is enterd into a CEdit window by user
2. the application has to obtain that number and do some calculations
with it (just like in Windows Calculator), therefore the result must
be
a numeric value(double, float, etc.), not a CString object like it

I have a user details form with a textbox for a password on it
(textmode=password). I want to be able to set the text in the textbox
when retrieving user details. I will be filling the box with a dummy
value such as '*****'. When I set the .text property and the form is
run it returns as an empty value.
Is there any way around this.
Thanks.

After setting the web control text box enable property to FALSE makes the
control to loose the data between round trip. I am making sure that the
property - EnableViewState = TRUE.
Same code when the text box Enable property set to TRUE retains the value.
Please advice.

I have an unbound RTF2 control in an Access 2003 form which I set to
show either unformatted text or else text with words and sentences
highlighted. I do this by setting the PlainText property, getting back
the rtfText and then adding the highlighting strings and resetting
rtfText as below:
sqry = "Select * from TextContent where FileID = " & ID
Set rs = CurrentDb().OpenRecordset(sqry, dbOpenSnapshot)
With rtfUnformatted
..rtfText = ""

Hi,
I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed
using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to
/usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be
"E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file
are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located
at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem
to be having an effect? ...

Hi,
I need a way to update an Edit control control in MFC from a timer
callback function.
How can that be done as we cannot reference dialog box controls from
callbacks?
Even the following code gives me problems:
VOID CALLBACK TimerProc ( HWND hParent, UINT uMsg, UINT uEventID,
DWORD dwTimer )

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
