Displaying Form on Second Monitor

3 New Member
I'm trying to write an application in VB.NET that displays a single form on a second monitor only. So far, I've discovered that I can only have forms that are created during runtime (programaticall y) display on the second monitor. The form that I create and design within the development environment will only display on the primary monitor. I understand that I need to set the bounds of the form to the bounds of the secondary display, but the form still displays on the primary monitor. Am I missing something?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I found out how to achieve this. I set a code module to be the startup object rather than the form that I was trying to display on the second monitor. I set the bounds of the form from within the startup module.

Dear PHP Group, I have two forms that are used to collect user information. The first one takes user inputted values such as fullname, city, address etc. I want these values to display in the second form when it is called. Both forms are .htm files that call themselves when the submit button is press via the following command in each form: <form method="post" action="<?php $server?>">

I have an app where I am docking my MainForm to either the left or right of the Primary Monitor. How can I set the Forms current Monitor to be a different one from the .Screens Collection ? I want to be able to offer the user the use of moving this to dock on a different monitor in a multi monitor setup, and find out what monitor it is on before closing so I can save it and then restore it to the same monitor on startup next time. ...

I'm currently trying to do something with VB .net that I'm having a lot of difficulty with. Basically, I need to be able to display a form on any monitor I choose. So, I have to enumerate all monitors available on the system (will be 3-4 monitors), choose a monitor, and display a form in full-screen mode on that monitor. The end result may be three monitors showing three full-size forms (one each), as well as one last monitor showing the...

OK guys I’ve got a question for you. I’ve developed a small knowledge base app for the software I support and it’s comprised (essentially) of two forms (not MDI). The first form (frmMain) is where the searching of the knowledge base takes place and where the results of the searchs are displayed. The second form (frmDetail) shows the details of any selected knowledge base article. What I would like to have happen is that when the frmDetails form...

A lot of users at my workplace use different screen resolutions, and I build apps to use 1680 x 1050 pixels res by default. But some users are using 800 x 600, and the apps are too large for their screen. I used to write code in Java a few years ago (2005), and you could stretch a form with the mouse and all the controls and fonts would resize to larger or smaller size. Does .Net framework 3.5 support this kind of functionality? Or -...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
