Dear All,
I got a problem and need your help.
After I converted my project (Embedded VC++ 3.0 for Pocket PC) to .NET 2005 Framework I can compile it without any error or warning. Then I ran it on iPAQ got an error "The parameter is incorrect".
After debug I found the following line caused the error message:.
CTime t1(1970, 1, 1, 0, 0, 0);
Then I created a new MFC Smart Device Application in .NET 2005,
project type:Visual C++ for Smart Device,
SDKs: Pocket PC 2003
Application Type: Dialog based
Use of MFC: Use MFC in a shared DLL
Inside the new project I put the CTime t1(1970, 1, 1, 0, 0, 0);
Ran in Pocket PC, It works OK.
So I thought the problem may be in stdafx.h or stdafx.cpp
After I replaced the stdafx.h or stdafx.cpp in the converted application with that from new project, the problem still there.
Your ideas are highly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

I am sure that I am making a simple boneheaded mistake and I would

on a system running WindowsXP SP2.
Apache and PHP tested out fine. After adding Smarty, I ran the

Hi everyone!
I think that everyone knows ctime() in glibc:
The ctime(), gmtime() and localtime() functions all take an argument
of data type time_t which represents calendar time. When interpreted
as an absolute time value, it represents the number of seconds
elapsed since 00:00:00 on January 1, 1970, Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
Now I need to use the function of ctime() in linux kernel, but it

When the POSIX pthreads library for w32 release 2-2-0
(http://sources.redhat.com/pthreads-win32/) is compiled with VC++6
then it compiles and passes all the benchmark tests in the subdirectory "tests".
Also, VC++ 2005 beta 1 compiles the tests fine, but here the following
tests fail in execution:
# semaphore1.pass \
# condvar2.pass \
# condvar2_1.pass \
# mutex8.pass \

I tried the VC++2005 Express beta today and found so many errors in the
documentation and sample files that I realized I needed to go back to the
most recent released IDE, and purchased VC++ .NET 2003. I could not find any
updates for 2003 at microsoft.com. Is 7.1.3088 the most recent version (I
have no idea if the box I bought at CompUSA had been on the shelf since 2003
:)
Thanks,
Eric

Hi,
I am new to this newsgroup and need help in the following questions.
1. I am workin' on a GUI application. Does C# provides Layout Managers the
way Java does to design GUI? I know that it can be done using the designer
but I intentionally don't want to use that. The one reason is that you
cannot change the code generated by the designer. The other could be that
you have more free hand and control to design your GUI.

A project depends on VC runtime from Visual Studio 2005 SP1, and DotNet
Framework 2. Options are set in the setup project properties, so if these
two dependencies are not already installed then this installer will install
them.
But what about the situation where VC runtime has already been installed?
In fact it's been installed twice. Although the project was built on a
Windows XP system with Visual Studio 2005 SP1 and the results were...

Hello,
I'll try to give what I think is sufficient and relevant information about my problem but feel free to ask questions if you need to know more to understand my problem.
I have developed a .NET application using VS 2005 and the about dialog box tells me it's using .NET 2.0.xxx.xxxx. My app works great on my development box (WinXP SP2) and I do not have .NET3.5 installed. However when I run my same app on a test machine, also running...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
