HI all, Access 2003, Jet back end.
Rather than annoy my users in a particular app by having relationships
with enforced relational integrity refuse to delete a record with
related records, I'm using cascade delete. When I use a continuous form
and a record is deleted, Access provides a warning that there are
related records, do you want to continue (an aside - anyone know how to
trap that warning on the form on error event?). However,...

Can't edit, delete or add row in an Access database in a website 2003
When I implement a walkthrough using Northwind I have no trouble doing this.
Also, in a windowsforms project I have no problem editing, adding or
deleting rows.
But in webforms the smarttags don't offer the options.
Can anybody help?

I have a web-based C# app. I've got a routine to delete a record from a
database. It executes just fine. No exceptions, no errors that I can find,
but it simply doesn't do anything.
It's not a file permissions issue. I can add new records just fine. I can
delete the records from within Access, no problem.
I'm using ODBC (don't ask, it's a limitation of the environment I'm
deploying to). The code is as follows:

Hi,
I have a user that used the Query Wizard to create a query in Access.
Now she claims that her master table is missing all the data that was
excluded from the query. Can you create anything other than a select
query using the Wizard? What do you think happened to her data?
I am working remotely until Friday, so I can't get down to her office
and check out what she did.

Hi,
I'm writing a program in Visual C# 2005 Professional Edition.
This program connects to a SQL Server 2005 database called
"Generations" (in which there is only one table, called
"Generations"), and it allows the user to add, edit and delete the
various records of the table.
"Generations" table has the following fields:
"IDPerson", NamePerson", "AgePerson" and "IDParent".
A record contains the information about a person (his name, his...

Hi all,
I'm trying to edit VBA code in my mdb file for a form. Basically, I
want to delete and comment out some lines of code. (I'm quite good at
VBA, so I don't need help there).
I'm trying to comment out a procedure, and delete all calls to that
procedure.
The problem is, as soon as I try to delete or comment anything, Access

Hi, Whenever I delete a record my command button, the record deletes, a list displaying all records is updated and then a message box appears:
Microsoft Access can't find the field 'I' referred to in your expression
It only has the option of clicking 'OK', when I do this everything is fine again.
I would like to know what is going on and how to fix this problem. Below is parts of the code that I believe the problem is in.
The form is...

access xp, sql server 2000.
Just converted entire database to sql and keeping access front end.
Problem is only with one table.
inserting a new record works fine. If I go back to that record to
enter in more data I get a write conflict error. If I try to delete
the record I get a jet database engine stopped because me and someone
else is attempting to change the data. No one else is in the database.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
