Hi
1) I want to create a TabPage class in design mode - how do I do it? What
type of project should I use? Is it going to be a custom control?
2) I have a TabControl that I would like to add to it the TabPage created in
step 1. I don't want to draw the TabPage on the Tabcontrol in design mode,
but to have a few TabPage controls that I candynamicaly load to the
TabControl at runtime.
Thanks

I have created an ascx control that is a kind of custom panel with
specific code behind and a custom design. I have then created a new
ascx that inherit from my first ascx. The problem that I have is that
doing so, if I put a new control inside my inherited ascx and put code
behind this new control, this code will not execute.
So is there a way to create a child control an have the specific code
behind it execute and not just is parent...

Hi:
I've created a custom control - a grid that uses Infragistics to display
some filters, the grid itself, and some buttons.
Well, when using this control directly on WebForm, everything works
really fine. No problems at all.
But, when this control is placed inside a template of an Infragistics
UltraWebTab control, somethings stranges happens:
1. When the WebForm is opened, an "Error Creating Control" message is
displayed (for container...

Hi all - we've recently switched up to 2005, and I'm having trouble
getting the hang of some things, among them, creating a control for the
project. Currently, we use a combination of controls on a TabControl -
mainly a grid on one tab, and a checkboxlist on the other, that
coordinate back and forth, so (un)checking a box will hide or show a
column on the grid. In addition, I would like the flexibility of adding
a DataSource at design time...

Hi,
How Do I create an instance of a derived class from an instance of a
base class, essentially wrapping up an existing base class with some
additional functionality. The reason I need this is because I am not
always able to control/create all the different constructors the base
class has. My problem can be described in code as follows ...
/* This is the base class with a whole heap of
constructors/functionality*/
public class Animal

Previously I used to create user controls if I wanted to use a
specific set of controls in multiple pages, however I want to deploy
my control in other applications so I thought of creating custom
controls.
Only problem is that I'm used to designing my controls in a WYSIWYG
(tm) way (i.e. using the designer and writing HTML tags). The only way
I found to create custom controls was to create controls dynamically,
set their properties and...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
