Is this a web or windows application?

HTML objects have like a TITLE property (i think that's what it's called, maybe it's ALT) that can be set to have tooltip popups.

In windows you can add the tooltip object to your form and then add text for each item you want.

When I used the tooltip box to display tip message on a label or an image next to an input box or several input boxes nearby, the part of the tip will be covered by the area of the input box. (provided the tip box is big, and there is no enough blank space to post the tip). Does anyone know how to avoid and which attribute can make the tip on top of all objects on the page? The tip box message is built in the javascript section of the...

I have an application where some forms have many (say 100) UserControls on them (each of which contain a label, an image, and a data entry control), and each UserControl has a ToolTip provider (although really we don't assign ToolTips to most of the controls), and then the UserControl exposes a ToolTipText property which sets the same ToolTip for all 3 contained controls. It would be possible to have one ToolTip provider on the form...

Hi all, Please help! I'm attempting to apply tooltips to each individual item in VB.Net's Listview control. In VB6 it was easy - you just did the following (assumes "myListView" is the name of the ListView control): set lst = myListView.ListItems.Add lst.Text = "Test1"

A DataList displays 3 columns - Product, Category & Price. These columns are populated with records from a SQL Server 2005 DB table. Apart from the above 3 DB columns that the resultset retrieves, there is another DB column named 'Description'. Though the resultset fetches this column as well along with the above 3 columns, I am excluding the Description column from the DataList - the reason being most of the descriptions are pretty long &...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
