I use a print link that causes a problem with Opera 7. The link looks
like this <a href="javascript:parent.frames.mainFrame.print()">Print
this page</a>
I also used
<a href="javascript:print()">Print this page</a>
and it also worked with most browsers. I realize that it only works if
you have Microsoft Windows versions for PC but that is what most of
out customers have anyway. I have also noticed that there is a problem

Subject: toolbar script problem

Recently, I downloaded the following beautiful script
"http://javascript.internet.com/navigation/toolbar-menu.html". It
works like a charm. I made my webpage in frames, where the nav-frame
shows the menubar, so whenever I click a link in the menubar, it opens
in the frame below. But...

From within the "main" frame, using JS, I'm trying to copy a couple variables and arrays from the
"header" frame into the "main" frame. I've incorporated a couple "alert" statements to test the
resulting data, and find that sometimes it's good and sometimes it's "undefined". I'm thinking this
is a timing issue between the time the variables and arrays are resolved in the "header" frame, and
the time they are referenced in the "main" frame....

We run into a strange problem with a client when printing a frame from a
website. On the site there is a button that performs the following
javascript code:
parent.myFrame.focus();
window.print();
This is the normal way to print a specific frame from a website. Our client
works on a SBS2003 with Terminal Server and when they hit the button all
frames are printed out, not just the selected one. At first I thought that

I have created a widget that extends Frame() and contains labels,
checkboxes, and entrys. I am trying to use tkSimpleDialog.Dialog to
create a modal display of this widget, but am running into some
(addressing) problems. My widget displays in the parent widget, not the
tkSimpleDialog.Dialog? I hope this snippet is enough to help, as my
actual code is really too hard to follow.
class showtestWidget(tkSimpleDialog.Dialog):

Hi, a newbie here. I don't have a real firm grasp on the idea of
Javascript, as I'm used to programming in Qbasic and C. I'm not used
to OOP. Anyway, I really don't have any idea what the problem is with
this code, it just simply won't work properly. Some of the functions
aren't done, but the main one gives me a Not a Number message in the
text box where the calculations are supposed to come up. I tried to
use a parseInt on my stuff,...

I read in the book Javascript The Definitive Guide by David Flanagan
the following in reference to the use of alert, confirm, and prompt.
"Although these dialog methods are extremely simple and easy to use,
good design dictates that you use them sparingly, if at all. Dialog
boxes like these are not a common feature of the web paradigm, and
they have become much less common now that more capable web browsers
support scripting of the...

First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
