I currently have the Exception Management Application Block working in my base directory, but when I create pages in a subfolder the Exception Management Application Block is never executed. The error is just displayed back to me like it normaly would be w/out the Exception Management Application Block was never implemented

Hello,
I am currently in the process of switching our application to a N-Tier model
with .NET.
One of the aspects we want ot get right from the start not to worry about it
after is the Exception management.
I have read two MSDN documents that appear to be in contradiction, and I
would like to know if someone can explain to me which of the two is the

Hi All,
I'm basically just trying to get started with the Exception Management
Application Block and am having some technical difficulties. All I
want to do to begin with is create a simple Windows Application (which
I have done and named "ExceptionManagementTester") and within it
create and use a custom publisher.
The Exception Management Tester Solution contains ONE project with

I have seen this problem posted, but the fix posted is not working for me, so
I hope to get some help here.
I am using the EMAB with all of the default settings, and no custom
publisher. It works fine when I am logged in as an Administrator to the
machine, but I get the following error when I am not logged in as an
administrator:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: ExceptionManagerPublishedException

I am wondering if there are some best practices for determining a strategy
for using try/catch blocks within an application.
My current thoughts are:
1. The code the initiates any high-level user tasks should always be
included in a try/catch block that actually handles any exceptions that
occur (log the exception, display a message box, etc.).
2. Low-level operations that are used to carry out the high level tasks

Hi,
I have an ASP.Net application written with VS.Net 2002 (Net FWK 1.0). This
Web Application uses Exception Management Application Block to log Events to
Windows Event Log. We registered the Exception Management Application Block
using installutil.
Our Application uses impersonation and used to work fine on Windows 2000
Server.
Now we installed it on a Windows Server 2003 and when an exception is
raised, we get an "Access is denied"...

Dear All,
I used VB.Net to write an application which use the exception
management in Application Block as error handling. When I deploy the
application in the client machine, it's fine. However when I put the
application to the network server. A just-in-time debugger alert that an
unhandling error was raised by a function call VerifyValidSource in
Exception Managment. The description of error is "Request Fail". Please
help. Thanks

I'm trying to set up a custome e-mail publisher for a web app using the
Microsoft Exception Management Application Block for .NET sample app.
Our app already uses the Exception Management Block, but with the default
publishing to the Event Log. We have an error handler
Intranet_Exception_Processing.Vb in the app's Component folder with the
ExceptionManager.Publish(ex) call.
Here is the code generating the error:

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
