Multiple submits on a VB.NET Page

Hi all,

I have a problem.
I have a search box on the top of all of my pages, and on various other pages i have forms that do other fancy stuff. However this has given rise to the bug.

If i wish to press return to submit the form it only submits to one of the buttons. I can control which button it submits to, but i want the search box to submit to its own function, and the other forms to submit to thier own functions.

I know why i am getting the problem but can't think of a decent enough workaround, its bugging up because the page can only have one form tag.

Thanks for your help it is needed :)

In the past I have worked around this by not using onsubmit and have each button call its own function. Hth.

Hi Is it possible to perform multiple file uploads via a form? It's no problem uploading single files but I want to be able to highlight a group of files and upload them all in one go. My current method, multiple <INPUT TYPE="FILE" NAME="userfile"> entries, works but means selecting each file individually. -- Colin

Here is how I imagine my process: I have an series of interactive HTML forms. The user begins a Cookie session. A database connection is opened and a transaction is begun. comp.infosystems.www.authoring.html multiple submits When multiple submit lines are placed in an HTML form, the string returned to the server shows the name=value field for each one with no obvious way to determine which one was actually clicked/pressed. ie, all are returned. Does anyone know how to implement multiple submit lines and tell which one was clicked?

We have a customer using our application that has a problem. Within our app, we have a two different forms (one generates an email, the other a fax via a webservice). When they click the submit button, IE6 is generating the event 6 times!!! So they end up sending 6 faxes or 6 emails. We simply cannot reproduce this. We can't find anything wrong in our code that might cause this, I can't find anything in MS Technet about IE bugs that...

I'm working on a multi-user system that at times may result in 2 users accessing the same screen. These screens allow the users to both view and update data. The problem comes when you have user A and user B viewing the same screen and user A submits his page that writes to the database. User B is now viewing a screen with invalid data. How do I prevent this scenario from happening with PHP? I thought about using a lock flag in a...

I'm making a JSP page where (ideally) you select files to upload, each selected file is added to a listbox. The form is submit, (along with some other parameters), and the files are uploaded. They arent uploaded (written) tradionally to a server, I just need the file's input stream to pass to a method elsewhere (which will upload to a database). The page has a file-input type to locate files to upload. Once a file is selected (onChange()),...

I'm going to stab myself in the face. I have a page with a single form. Regular old html. There are a few checkboxes and textboxes and and two submit buttons (I hope that's not the issue...) The form submits to itself (I control the backend so I handle it) When I click the submit button, the form is submitted and I get my page back with a "form submitted" text in a certain place. As SOON as it finishes loading, it automatically submits...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
