Hi all,
I've got a page with a user control on, added via VS. I'm trying to get to a
property of the user control (or more precisely, a public var).
Here's the code at the top of my aspx page...

able to add the control dynamically (at run time) with no
problem(.controls.add(). Is it possible to set
property values of a dynamically added web user control at run time? Can you
provide a link or code snippet?
I can do it for a typical web control (textbox, label, etc), but I can't

Inside dropdown.ascx, I have a dropdownlist control.
From my page.aspx, I need to be able to access the dropdown's value.
By setting it to auto-post back, I am able to grab this value using
Request.Form. This worked well until I realized that I
needed the initial value in some cases. How do I access this value from the

Hi all. I have spent the better part of a day scouring the newsgroups
