open notepad window inside a windows form

4 New Member
Hi,
I am using visual studio.net 2003 and I am working on a windows application project.I would like to know if it is possible to open a notepad inside a windows form.I tried both shell and process.start but by using this the notepad will start as an individual application.I want notepad to show inside a form or in a control inside the form.
If any one can please help.
Thanks
Arun

I've got some MS-windows (XP only?) related questions; hopefully someone can give me some advise. 1) Is there some way to make notepad to become the front window when it is started from within a tcp-server, using something like os.system("notepad") or os.system("start /w notepad")

In the following code, page1.asp is inside the frame of main.html. When the user click submit button in page1.asp, it will submit the for and open a new window called page2.asp. When the user clicks submit button on page2.asp, I expected to open a new window called page3.asp Unfortunately, it just open page3.asp in the same window as page2.asp, an now page2.asp is gone. However, if I just open page1.asp, and begins from there, it is fine...

I'm a complete Javascript n00b, using a snippet I found on the web. I'll probably be buying a Javascript book. What's the authoritative on-line resource for Javascript, like php.net is for PHP? I'm a relative PHP n00b. This code works fine on Opera & Mozilla under Linux, but fails for both Netscape & IE under Windows: <script language="JavaScript"> <!--

"Open .Net Command Window Here" context menu for Windows Explorer: The reg file described below adds a new menu item to Windows Explorer's context menu when you right-click over a folder (or the drive root). The menu item text is "Open .Net Command Window Here". When you click it, it opens a command window positioned at that directory and runs the vsvars32.bat file to set the .Net Framework environment variable settings. This makes it...

I'm pretty tired from working all day on this program and this one simple task of showing a certain form when the app initializes is driving me nuts... It opens very briefly then quickly disappears... I put Console.WriteLines in the Closing event and the Dispose event and he VisibleChanged events to see if any of them are called and only the visibility is changed (probable from when I call Show() ) Just in case I even put...

all, trying to load an application (notepad for instance) and have it sit inside a Python application window. When the main window maximises or minimises, the (notepad) app follows. I am pretty sure I need to use a frame widget under tkinter (win32) but not exactly sure how to do it. I can make the frame but not embed notepad.

Hi, I am trying to pop-up a window when the user clicks on an image. The problem is that when the user clicks on the image and the window pops up OK, but the window underneath also proceeds to the image. The desired behavior is that when the pop-up is invoked, I want the underlying window to stay put. I don't have this problem when I run the code on my local computer but I do have it when I run the code on geocities.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
