What I mean here is that I have to build an HTML interface for a CD
catalouge.
All the contents for this catalouge are in a DB right now for the current
..net website.
Since the CD catalouge will contain 200 plus elements I'd like to leverage
the DB to help create the content for the CD, but at the same time thinks
like extensions and names would be very very different.

Hi
I am a converting VB6 programmer. Having completed a Windows forms project ,
andbefore moving on to some of my ASP.Net projects I want to add a lot of
function to a VB 6 application that generates static web pages which display
segments of data bases. The applicaton is used by a lot of sporting bodies
that largelely get by on non-interactive free sites
I have just finished a quick skim through a book on Professional ASP dot net

I created this neat little .net site which tracks the inventory of my
little widge company giving me real time inventory counts and whatnot.
It uses your standard code that calls a stored procedure and loads up a
datagrid and works really well.
It occurred to me that since my database inventory is only updated once
per day at 6:30 am having this dynamic query and page generation is
overkill and I really just need to save the output to...

Hello,
several parts of the pages of my ASP.NET 2.0 site are mainly static,
such as a treeview with all the product categories, a menu bar, the
company header and so on. But they also have a dynamic part, such as a
product list. If I look at the rendered HTML, the static parts are
roughly 60%-70% of the whole HTML sent to the client. Especially the
treeview will quickly sum up to 30K of nested TABLE, TR, TD tags and
javascript.
Since...

I have a static variable defined something like this
private static Dictionary<string, string> roles = new
Dictionary<string,string>();
Can I safely assume that it will be live for the live of application?
Meaning that any thread/page of the application will have access to the data
in this variable.

allocation for a cluss member.
I have class like
class Bar{
public:
explicit Bar(){

There must be millions of dynamically generated
html pages out there now, built by on-the-fly php code
(and jsp, perl cgi, asp, etc).
Programatic page generation is transparently useful.
But querying a database, negotiatinig lots of if-then-else logic
and echo'ing html code out on port 80 every time a
page is requested has to be a huge waste of resources.
Why not use that logic to print static html instead of dynamic?

Hi,
How can i differentiate between static and dynamic allocated objects?
For example:
void SomeFunction1() {
CObject *objectp = new CObject;
CObject object;

Hi Everyone,
I have encountered this problem that I am not able to figure out. Please drop me some lines if you have any idea how to solve this issue. I have a global.asax file in my web site. It works fine as I wanted when loading aspx file; however, I have some static page in the same directory such as html and htm page. These page also load correctly and the global.asax file does fire when executing my .net development environment....

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
