report as an Excel file. This works in a synchronous fashion, as long as
the report does not take too long to create. If that happens, the session
times out and we run into other kinds of problems.

it from database B and have it manipulate the tables in database B
(whatever the calling database happens to be)?

I'm trying to call a batch file that I've built using the FileSystemObject
and CreateObject("Wscript.Shell"), oShell.Run... in an asp script.
Naturally, I can get the script to work from a command line but not from a
browser. The page does not throw an error but the oShell.Run... portion of
the script doesn't run. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm running into an Invalid Cast Exception on an ASP.NET application that runs fine in my
development environment (Win2K server running IIS 5) and a test environment (also Win2K server
running IIS 5), but fails on IIS 6 running on a Win2003 server.

I have created a Java webservice which runs in IBM WebSphere appserver. I
take the WSDL-file and create a VS.NET WinForm application and calls the
service running on my PC and everything works fine.
So I deploy the webservice on a remote machine (Linux box) and I get an

We're working in VS 2005, Team edition, if it makes any difference at
all (should be up-to-date and all that, but could not guarantee it is

I am calling two pages using Ajax Get_Pages.php and Get_Content.php from combo box. Both pages are displayed based on selection from combo box.

I have a .Net Application(64 bit) calling a 32 bit COM+. What is the best
way to achieve this?
Basically I have got a webpart dll, which is compiled for any CPU and IIS
running on 64 bit. All the webparts works fine but the webpart which are
accessing legacy COM+ methods fails to get loaded.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
