Hello,
I am trying to build a Crystal report VisualStudio.NET for an ASP.NET
application. I would like to build a report that doesn't connect to
any particular database at design time because I am planning to pass a
dataset to the report at runtime. From what I have read, it sounds
like unbound fields might be the answer. However, I am having trouble
figuring out how to bind these unbound fields to my dataset at
runtime.

I'm getting an unwanted database login form appearing when I set the Data Source of a Crystal report to a .Net dataset
e.g. myReport.SetDataSource(myDataSet
This only occurs on some PCs, works perfectly fine on all my PCs (Windows 2000, XP Pro), and work OK on my clients XP Home machines
Problem only occurs on my clients XP Pro machines, these are out of the box Dell machines with XP Preloaded
Can't understand why only these PCs...

First, this is _not_ a question about how to get Crystal Reports to run
on a client machine. I've got all the merge modules added to the project
and it's working fine. The question is about distributing my .RPT files.
1) Initial Setup Project inclusion of .rpt files:
My folder of new .RPT files keeps growing. Is there a way to point
my deployment/setup project to the folder containing these .RPT files
so they are added...

I posted this in another forum, but I'm adding it here to for more
exposure.I am using Visual Studio 2003 and trying to get Crystal
Reports to produce output. If you have any ideas, please let me know.
This is a common problem, but nobody seems to have an answer for it.
CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LogOnException: Logon failed.
What does that mean, specifically? What logon is failing?

Hi,
I'm totally new to crystal reports (for VS.Net 2003), so please excuse if
this question is trivial:
In my application, the user is able to create XML- files, that always
contain information in the same (!) format. So, I'd like to give the user the
ability to create reports out of any of these XML- files. But how can I do
this?
It seems quite easy to create a report based on a XML file, but if so, the

I'm a developer, not a DB admin. I'm writing a .NET app that uses
crystal reports.
The table I need to output is built inside a stored procedure. No
choice, it makes use of some temporary tables. (Believe me I've tried
to get around that.)
Crystal reports seems to only know about tables and views. It looks
like a view cannot call procedures. It can call functions, but in turn
they also can't call procedures. I am hosed, what now?

sorry if it's (one more...) bug of OE...
Hi,
I have created a crytal report based on a table of my SQL Server. Everything
works fine.
I would like now to fill my report with a sql request in the code behind
instead of the table in the crystal report.
But in the following code, the dataset created isn't "used" by the crystal

hi,
I'm using Crystal reports to generate a simple report in a VB.net windows
application, I've defined all my stuffs (accessMDB,query, 2 parameters) in
the report design, and it's working fine, when a report is opened it prompts
me to input the parameters values .
But, in order to incorporate this report to my application, I have 3
quetions:
1- How can I send the parameters from my form directly (so there will be no
prompt)?
2- How can...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
